Updated General Business Terms and Conditions - The most important updates of the regulation
We inform you that our General Business Terms and Conditions was updated on April 23, 2016. We have summarized the most important modifications in the regulation, also this time.
Introduction of best price guarantee
In case an accommodation concerned by Fireflies best price guarantee is reserved, we guarantee that the selected offer is not provided to you at a lower price elsewhere. What happens if it is not the case? If you find the accommodation offer booked on our site, on another page, at a price that is lower than the most favorable one available on www.fireflies.com with Life package, at your request, we pay 155% of the difference between the two prices (a maximum of USD 500) to you. The exact conditions of best price guarantee are included in clause IV.2.8. of General Business Terms and Conditions.
Terms of service
The conditions of car rental and travel insurance service introduced recently are also included in the updated document. You can read about the details in clauses IV.6. and IV.7.
Rules of communication
Most commonly, Fireflies.com communicates with its users through newsletters. Naturally, you can decide to unsubscribe from our newsletters in case you would not like to get information about Fireflies news in the future. However, Swiss Halley AG can still send you an email message even after you unsubscribe, you can read more about this in clauses III.2.1. (5) and (6). Clause III.2.1. (7) contains the rules of how your queries received by Swiss Halley AG are handled. In addition, you can also find out in which cases you can use the Hotline service of Fireflies (IV.1.1. (4) and (5)). It is also important to note that English language has been indicated as the language for legal communication regarding occurring complaints (VI.)
Do not disclose your password!
We kindly ask you not to communicate your log-in data used on Fireflies.com to others! If you still decide to disclose your password to a third party, Swiss Halley AG does not assume responsibility for the consequent damages (III.1. (5)).
Information about accommodation reservation
The confirmation process of certain hotel offers can take 2 business days, at times. In case you book an offer the confirmation of which does not happen in a few minutes and the reservation gets a pending status, it is advisable to wait for the confirmation before starting a new reservation. The price of non-refundable offers booked multiple times cannot be refunded (IV.1.5. (2) and (3)). What happens if you cannot use the hotel service you booked due to our supplier partner’s fault? In such cases, our supplier is obliged to provide you with another accommodation (IV.2.6. (7)).
